Employee Bios:
Fausto Velasco is the President of FFPI with over 36 years of expertise in the fire sprinkler industry. He began his career with design and then transitioned into field installation. As an expert installer with knowledge in his trade like no other, he is accredited with training several fitters today that are now considered some of the best in the trade. He then worked for several years as the commercial estimator and construction manager. In 2005, he earned his C-16 Fire Protection Contractor’s License and Freedom Fire Protection, Inc. was established. Fausto is the lifeline of this company. It is because of the relationships he has built over the years in this industry, the integrity he lives by and his faith in God, that FFPI is what it is today.
Cyndi Velasco is Fausto’s wife and her career in the fire sprinkler industry began shortly after they were married in 2000. Her expertise is in residential design, estimating and project management. She also is the Office and Business Manager that ensures the business is continually growing and moving forward.
Edgar Velasco is Fausto’s brother and Commercial Superintendent. He has over 29 years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry. His expertise is in commercial installations, repairs, field employee training and quality control. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field of trade and FFPI can count on him to make sure the jobs are done properly.
Mike Velasco is Fausto’s youngest brother. He is a Commercial Superintendent and has over 24 years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry. His expertise is in commercial installations, fire service and fire hydrant installations, repairs, field employee training and quality control. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field of trade and is a trusted resource and asset to FFPI.
Junior Mengenhauser is Fausto’s right hand man and has been with FFPI since 2009. His expertise is in consultation, commercial tenant improvement estimating and project management. He has 20 years of experience in construction project estimating and management prior to working with FFPI. He takes his job to heart and FFPI is blessed to have him on our team.
Ramiro Velasco is the Residential Superintendent. He has been with FFPI since 2007 and has over 17years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry. His expertise is in residential installations, quality control and is our residential “go-to” guy. He facilitates all of our residential installations and trains every residential installer. He has a great working rapport with all our residential clients and the local AHJ’s.
Jose Gonzalez came to FFPI in August 2018 with a background in a variety of fire protection systems including fire pumps, special hazard and fire alarm systems. As our Commercial Construction Scheduler he coordinates all commercial system installations and inspections, facilitates the field jobsite safety trainings and performs all our commercial quarterly, annual and 5-year system certification inspections in accordance with NFPA requirements.
Miriam Sanchez is the Office Administrator and came on board in early 2015. She has an A.A. in Business Administration and keeps our office organized and on task. She also assists the project managers with setting up new projects, and processing the contractual and administration documents. She has been a great addition to our team!
Hugo Rodriguez is the newest addition to our team. He began in July of 2016 and is learning the trade by coordinating and processing all of our AHJ design submittals for permit issuance. He is also learning the residential aspect by assisting Cyndi with estimating and Ramiro with coordinating field installations and inspections. He has a bright future here!
